Summary:

Various approaches for assessing and strengthening the resilience of the wheat supply chain in the Danube region were discussed. The event was the start for a potential future innovation network with SME and research organisations from seven different countries across the Danube region. The aim is to (i) harmonise, joint capacities/data for the wheat supply chain climate change forecasting/vulnerability assessment, (ii) harmonise, coordinated, joint climate change-related preparedness and response tools for wheat supply chains, and (iii) to strengthen the readiness of society/economy regarding climate change impacts on the wheat supply chain.
